As you know, service is one of the nine tools of OA. The opportunities for service in the program are many, and several opportunities are available currently at the intergroup level.
Your OA intergroup is in need of a delegate to World Service and chairs for the twelfth step within and public information/professional outreach committees.
An NFI Delegate Application for the NFI delegate position, which includes responsibilities and eligibility requirements. The file may be completed and returned as a PDF file to email@example.com.
In addition, please bring back to your OA groups that each OA group may send two representatives to our monthly NFI meetings. Reps bring back intergroup information and materials, including a copy of Lifeline magazine, to their OA groups. Our hope is that all NFI OA groups will send representatives to have a voice and vote at intergroup meetings. Our next NFI meeting will be July 19 at 10:00 a.m.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration of these service opportunities.
Overeaters Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women from all walks of life who meet in order to help solve a common problem - compulsive overeating, which includes obesity, anorexia and bulimia. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop eating compulsively.
